The group shall keep on considering very much those employees that waive opportunities and advantages if they are to be reached only by breach of the principles of ethics quoted above. The same importance is reserved to the fact that ethic principles are applied at every level, with fair behavior in observance of the business policies and of the book-keeping and check procedures.

The importance of our workers.
A first-rate role is obviously played by human resources; we deem basic to screen and employ the right people, increase the training of the persons working in our business through a suited periodic and scheduled training.
The group follows a policy of rigorous observance of laws and norms applicable to its activities. The business adopts the principle of highest integrity even whereas laws allow permissive implementations or interpretations.
Even with the acknowledgement that habits, traditions and uses may vary from place to place, the managing direction of the group deems that fairness doesn’t allow criticisms in any kind of culture.
The suspect of a sharp practice helps discouraging and reprehensible judgments for the whole organization. The group deems that rightly enjoying a reputation of irreproachability is ipso facto a priceless asset.
The group aims not only to the achievement of the results but much more to the manners how they are obtained. This principle must be comprehended by all employees.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
Our group belongs to a community; we feel we have the responsibility and the duty to observe the provisions by law in force about labor, safety, prevention with particular attention to the safety during the road haulage, the engagement in surveillance and the ban of use of alcohol, narcotics and drugs, the engagement in the implementation of Behavior Based Safety (BBS).
The group prohibits strictly the use of alcohol, drugs and similar stuff by its employees.
The group in particular:
- prohibits the use, possess and distribution of drugs and similar stuff
- forbids the consumption of alcohol
- urges all employees, who should be addicted of these stuff, to stop their consumption and undergo proper medical care
- takes all necessary measures toward employees making usual consumption of alcohol and drugs, jeopardizing their own safety and the one of the whole community where they operate; - verifies periodically the observance by all employees of what aforementioned through checks made by the person in charge
- requires from its sub-hauler to adopt a similar policy about alcohol and drug in step with the one of our company
The group is engaged to prevent or reduce to zero the accidents, thefts, actions of terrorism or vandalisms, tampering or other malicious events and situations of risk in general, through the continuous work of awareness of safety addressed to its employees and sub-haulers. Moreover the group is engaged in the continuous effort to identify, erase or manage at best the risks for safety connected with the business activities.
All of this is actually possible only with the availability of human, instrumental and economic resources, to pursue the targets of improvement of safety and health of workers, as integral part of its activity and as strategic engagement for the general targets of the business. We are aware that, being competitive in the present scene of transports services is synonymous with a management oriented to the continuous improvement, which connects the sum of the services offered with a constant and careful engagement for safety.
Through the System of Safety management, the group Renzi implemented a tool with the aim:
- to maintain the awareness of the consistency of its own mission with the principles of policy for health and safety of work
- to establish targets for health and safety of work consistent with its policy and to ensure the availability of resources suited for the realization of the same policy
The group manages its own activities pursuing the excellence in the field of safety, setting itself as a goal the continuous improvement of its own performances in terms of safeguard of health and safety of workers on their workplaces.
The business regulation about safety applied by the group establishes the lines, complying with which:
- the group engages itself to operate under observance of the provisions in force about safety, but as well to pursue a continuous improvement of its performances, for the safeguard of its own employees and of third parties operating for it, of the people dwelling near its own seats as well as of its own plants and customers and for the protection of the surrounding environment
- Therefore the group shall take care through its operative seats of issuing, introducing, developing and/or revising plans for safety in order to ensure that its personnel
- has a behavior complying with the relevant laws in force, with the business specifications and standards, considering as well the possible legislative developments
- works with the aim that the performance of its activity involves the minimum possible impact as well on the environment
- moreover is engaged to start a BBS program aimed to increase safety during transport and during the relevant activities of loading/unloading through the positive influence of observation, training and communication about the behavior of operators and drivers
- the group shall operate in tight contact with the local community always showing its engagement as far as safety and health is concerned both of workers, of the community and of the environment
On the topic of safety and environment, the group engages itself moreover:
- to acknowledge that the needs of the customer and the assessment of his satisfaction build the reference criteria to be adopted in the supply of its services
- to adopt criteria for a correct use of natural and energy resources, with the enhancement of the role of the electric energy, natural gas, heat, pure renewable sources and the similar ones and of water
- to foster the application of the Safety System on its sites, in line with international standards, performing suited reappraisals and assessments in order to ensure the observance of the business policy
- to let know outside the policy and the business strategies about Safety through a tight dialogue with authorities, customers, shareholders and the public in general
These targets are, with a dynamic perspective of the system, in incessant development and the engagement of the management of the group is the one of a continuous improvement about health and safety of workers on their workplaces in total observance of laws. With this perspective the prevention and safeguard from risks are obtained making the whole personnel at each level aware of its responsibilities, they have to be built with the involvement of everyone.
To this purpose, the group has equipped itself with an organization structure on show in the organigram for safety, which has the aim to define, implement and watch over the application of principles quoted in this policy.
